Meditation is divine intoxication!

A drink can make you feel intoxicated but that is bliss due to forgetfulness...it is distraction, it is a trick to silent the mind temporarily. Once you are out of intoxication, you are what you were before...NO CHANGE! Meditation is also intoxication but on the contrary NOT due to forgetfulness but in awareness.

In meditation, you are in a state of bliss knowing your inner being and knowing who you are. You are not running away from yourself, your mind, your thoughts etc. You are fully aware of your being and that is the bliss. You are aware and grateful to the existence for what you have got. You are there and happy without anything, without any reason. You graduate from being a beggar to a king who has abundance!

Till several years I never realized what meditation is; I only knew the meaning but never the experience, never the correct way until I visited Osho ashram at Pune. I had so much trust in Osho that I blindly followed the meditation instructions without questioning what, why, purpose etc. After the experience I had, there was no need left to question. Actually the experience that i had  was beyond the mind's grasp but the techniques used are very scientific. It had to shut up.

Those 2 days were pure intoxication, so blissful. No liquor needed, no rewards achieved, neither climbed the Himalaya nor became the wisest man on earth, but just experienced the glimpse of my inner being and in a way the whole of existence through meditation.

Will the Next Gen Carry Them Forward or NOT?

The current "technology" generation is progressing so much ahead in science & technology. Science, technology & Education has gotten so much importance as never in the past almost in every part of the world. So is the new generation going to be "mindful" just in technology or will they think religion too? Bottom line - Do the myths continue in the name of religion or is the new generation going to apply their mind (which they apply in their eduction/careers) & see the myths that are followed & shun the unnecessary or are they going to continue taking the load on their shoulders?

It certainly takes guts to STOP following whatever the myths /shortcuts to life are. It demands you to be thoughtful about your life; only then you can get the courage to REMOVE the myths from your life & take control of your own life. For e.g. if you are jobless, and approach a "pundit", they might advise you to repeat a mantra 1000times & that will get you a job within their contracted period. If the target is achieved, then sure you can believe in the coincidence or in the "pundit", the choice is yours! If its not achieved, there are more mantras to repeat or probably the terms & conditions in the contract were not met properly :)-....may be you misspelled the mantras or forgot to do them once in a while. What else can you expect out of the "begging for help" attitude?

In my opinion, you can really spend time productively by searching for a job in the time you spent repeating the mantras. Plus repeating something creates boredom....remember mugging up in school? was it ever interesting? Just put your mind to work here....how is the mantra going to help me get a job? If you get a legitimate answer then surely follow it. Follow it, then you get pissed off or so long as you desire to keep walking with your eyes closed.

In my opinion, the entire "myth" business carried out by pundits should be STOPPED & you should be prepared to be more thoughtful not trying to get solutions from outside but from within.

Doubt on a Myth & It Will Burn That Second!

STOP the Myth, Let the Reality RULE!

STOP letting the myths take control of your life, let the reality RULE! How much % of what you live is based on myths which are empty & thoughtless. Or is your life based on REALITY? If you have no clue of what I am talking about.....here are some myths - 1) Don't wear a diamond ring...it may not suite you...it only suites some human beings 2) Don't cut your hair/nails on Saturday 3) Fast for 12 weeks or 2 years or Don't eat something (badha) to get something and the list is endless.

Do you know why you are following these ideas or are these learned from a book or from people (most likely your elders/society)? We question the seller so much when we buy something and haggle over the price to get the best deal....why not apply the same idea before adopting the "myths" in the name of religion. Why accept without thinking & without getting involved in the deal? Does religion teach you to accept w/o thinking? This is not religion...this is believing something w/o putting your mind in it. Religion comes from self-experience....when you do something putting all your mind into it, you generate an experience that is captured somewhere deep inside you. So when you are blindly accepting something w/o putting your mind into it, you are NOT generating that experience....but you are forcefully imposing something on to you which can & will make you unstable & heavy. So I say, first think, try to find out, then if you know the truth, you do not need to believe, it becomes your thought...no question of believing it!!

More to come as I experience & try to break my shell of myths.

Love - An inner REVOLUTION, a deeper connection or an EGO trip?

Love exists in 2 basic forms i.e. loving within and love outside. Either you can love yourself or you can love outside - a person, a thing, etc. Whatever you love in a way is how much you can love yourself because what is within manifests outside. If you cannot love yourself, you cannot love anyone else.

In today's world, the question to ask is whether love exists between 2 people and how pure is the love? You met your girl friend and you fell in love with her; just ask yourself what made you fall in love. If you can express it more accurately in words, chances are its just a outer connection, an ego trip and not really an inner connection. Love just happens without reasoning.

In the West, love is more of a mental connection or physical attraction. Today you connect well with your partner because what you think matches up with her. Tomorrow there can be differences between you and that can lead to the end of a relationship. If you watch this in awareness, this was more of a ego fulfillment than love. You felt good from within that someone also thinks the way you do and your ego was satisfied. Tomorrow the same ego will be hurt when your thoughts don't match up.

In the East, love exists more on a inner level or in some cases just a look-good-to-society kind of relationship. Our conditioning is very much against the concept of divorce so you can drag a relationship long enough than the West.

When you go into a relationship, if it takes time for you to be in love, chances are that you are trying to match up your thoughts and preferences in life and then fixing up your mind if you can be together or not. This "fixed" relationship is bound to be less enjoyable because it is mindful. This habit of the mind to match up preferences and take time to adjust will not work great in the long term that is why i call it "fixed" up relationship and it is bound to become a way to fullfil your ego. Life is dynamic and situations will come which are not thought about; at that time if there are differences, chances are the relationship will start fading. The love that used to fulfil your ego will turn into misery as your ego gets hurt. You will say that I am not loved as before, but the fact is, even before it was never love just a EGO TRIP. If it was love, it would have blossomed your being into a flower.

Life should be like a tree!

Are we happy each moment? OR perhaps hopping between transitory happy moments. Today when i was meditating, I suddenly got this idea of a tree and how it is within as much as it appears outside in its glory - branches, leaves and flowers. A tree can stay up and enjoy because behind its vastness outside, is its supporting system inside in the form of roots. A tree grows as much as below the earth (within) as above the earth without which it cannot stay upright, cannot enjoy the winds or the rains, without the within (roots), it will fall off.

What is true for trees, is true for humans. If we do not travel inside and grow from within, no matter how much we grow outside - our mind, personality, knowledge, salary, everything is ultimately outside, we will not be able to enjoy our life. You might have probably observed that happy moments like a job promotion etc. would have made you happy but that was transitory and not long lived or permanent.

For permanent peace and happiness, there is only one way - GROW WITHIN as much as you do outside and keep a balance between your inner world and outer world like a TREE!
