Importance of Meditation in Today's Fast Pace Life

Today's life is fast paced with ton of things happening around and you are expected to keep up with it to stay in the game. So what is the role of meditation in the fast life and why should you care to meditate?

Lets start with a simple example from nature. You may have seen a tree which appears huge outside the ground in its glory with uncountable flowers and so full of life but ever bothered to think what lets it stay so alive? Its the strong "roots". A tree grows as much within the ground (in the invisible) as much outside and only then it can keep up with its huge size in the storms and winds and the rain and still manage to dance! Imagine a tree without strong roots...it can fall anytime. So is our life. It can fall down anytime without a strong inside, without a strong grounding from within, without a strong center. When you are not connected to the center, you are a tree without roots that can fall anytime.

Meditation is watching, meditation is the method of getting to the core of our being where everything is silent and unchanging. When you know your roots and can get to it anytime with meditation, you can learn to respond to life from that center. Forgetting your center and living just a body or mind is misery. Meditation brings you to the center of your being where you can feel the bliss of your being and just by being NOT doing. That taste itself is so relaxing and blissful that you can be ready to face life and its challenges again. Its like when you feel exhausted with work, you relax a little before you get back to work. Meditation is the ultimate relaxation in your being or more appropriately the end result is bliss and relaxation.
